2016 Flag Football Registration is

OPEN

 


 

All games will be played on Saturdays at Lynch field and the game times will remain the same as 2015.

Hingham Flag Football Opens Registration.

The 2016 Flag Football Season will begin on Saturday, September 10, 2016 and conclude Saturday October 29, 2016.  

The registration fee is $100 for first child.  Each additional child is $75. Registration and additional information is located on the website: www.hinghamsports.com.  Please contact Andy Shafter at 617-827-0201 or ashafter@comcast.net if you have questions.

Flag Football Week 1

Hello All,

Everyone should have received an email from me today with your team, your coaches, and your the color or your jersey.  If you did not, please contact me.

Always check the website for information.  

Kickoff are as follows:

Division 1 (K&1st grade)    1pm
Division 2  (2nd grade)        2:10pm
Division 3 (3rd grade)                3:20 pm
Division 4 (4th&5th grade)        4:30pm
Division 5 (Middle School)        5:30 pm

Games are held at Lynch Field in Hingham off Beal Street across from Stop & Shop and near the Hingham Mutual Life Building.

For the first day, if your coach has not already set a time, i would suggest at least 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

There will be an information table in the middle of the field.  Matt St. Marc, Ben Hagstrom, and Kate Shafter are your on-field coordinators.

Please be willing to help coach if needed.  Each team has at least one coach, but sometimes it is beneficial to have a few extra set of hands.

2015 Flag Football

Thank you for registering for Hingham Flag Football 2015.   We expect to have a wonderful season and thank you all for your support.  Here are some updates:

  • Teams will be announced on September 2nd
  • Coaches meeting:
    •  Thursday 9/10 at Lynch Fields.  
    • Time: 6:30 pm
    • Coaches only
    • It will be 30 minute’s tops
  • The season will begin Saturday 9/12/15.
  • There are no practices during the week
  • Kickoff Times are as follows:

  • Clarification regarding registration:  I will be creating the teams based on whom has registered by 8/31/15.   People are still allowed to register, but they will be assigned to a team.  Most likely, they will learn of their team 9/11/15.
  • Rain Policy:  We play rain or shine.  We will suspend play during thunder and lighting.   Parents are free to decide for their children if they do not want them to participate in bad weather.
  • Columbus Day weekend:  We will be having games.  We realize that a few may be away, which is fine.  
  • Playoffs:   There are no playoffs for Division 1,2,and 3.   They will play their final game on 10/31/15 and receive participation medals.  There will be a play-off for Division 4 and 5.  The winning team will receive a trophy.   Looking at the calendar, we may move the play-offs to Sunday November 1st as not to interfere with Halloween.  The good news is the Patriots play Thursday October 29th.  More information to follow.
  • Equipment:   Children are encouraged to wear cleats, mouth-guards and proper athletic attire.  The league provides the jerseys and all other equipment.

The 2015 Flag Football Season will begin on Saturday, September 12, 2015 and conclude Saturday October 31, 2015.  

All games are played on Saturday afternoons at Lynch Field, off Beal Street, near the Stop& Shop in Hingham.   Children entering Kindergarten through the 8th grade are eligible to play.  The league is co-ed and a non-contact sport. Teams are divided by grade and game times are set for the season.

We are in the process of securing dates that all divisions will have one midweek game under the lights at Hingham High School. 

 

The registration fee is $100 for first child and $75 for each additional child.
